Student Leadership is currently hiring students for the 2025-2026 Services and Activities Fee Committee. Eligibility requirements: - Must be currently enrolled as a student at Seattle Central College for Fall 2025 - Must plan to enroll in at least 10 credits per quarter throughout the 2025-26 academic year (excluding Summer Quarter) - Must be able to commit until the end of the academic year (until June 2026) - Must have and maintain at least a 2.5 quarterly/cumulative GPA Ideal candidates will demonstrate a sincere eagerness to work with and serve students of all backgrounds and identities related to culture, ethnicity, religion, politics, gender, academic pursuits, and all other ways in which we define our uniqueness. Job Summary: The Student Fees Committee is responsible for making budget recommendations for the Student Services and Activities (S&A) and Universal Technology Fees (UTF) in alignment with student needs and college mission, vision, and goals. The Committee is charged with reviewing requests and proposals from various campus programs, developing allocations, and providing recommendations for the upcoming academic year, which will be presented to the Associated Student Council (ASC), Student Body, the College President, and the Board of Trustees. The Committee will decide on the targeted amount of funds to be allocated and will endeavor to make the wisest choices in their review of applications to provide the most beneficial outcomes for the student body, monitoring the current year’s allocations. Timeline: Training begins September 2025 Quarterly meetings 1-5 hours per week. May include evenings and weekends Additional time may be required during winter and spring quarters Job Responsibilities: - Attend all scheduled meetings and trainings to fully understand, discuss, and vote on student fee allocations. - Review and analyze the S&A and UTF Budgets. - Work collaboratively with other committee members to ensure equitable and inclusive decision-making process. - Maintain confidentiality regarding committee deliberations and decisions. - Engage with the student body to gather feedback and input on needs and priorities. - Prepare and present the budget proposal for submission to the Associated Student Council, the Student Body, College President and Cabinet, and Board of Trustees.
